Can I visit the WorkShop?
Yes! We love to show visitors what we are working on. We encourage you to visit us, however, we are a working space so if you would like to stop by, we request that you contact us to let us know you’re coming. In addition to visiting us in person, you can also check out our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages to hear about events/projects and our equipment.
Who makes products at MHW?
Our mission is to create and support employment opportunities and provide job training for members of our community seeking to rebuild their lives after facing addiction, homelessness, and/or incarceration. Our staff include experts in woodworking, etching, and sewing and we train all of our employees in-house. By working with us, you are providing a critical job to someone getting back on their feet.
What types of products are made at MHW?
We specialize in kitting, assembly, packaging, shipping and light manufacturing. We have the ability to utilize in-house equipment such as basic woodworking or sewing tools or are willing to explore new manufacturing processes and equipment.
Can you help me design my product?
Technically, yes, but no. Our Production Skills Trainers have backgrounds in design and product development and are highly skilled. They may be able to help you with these services in their own time if you’re in need, but it’s not a service we’re able to offer at the shop. As a job-training program, our emphasis is on production execution and quality.
Does MHW also provide materials?
We are a contract manufacturing facility and do not provide materials for the production of goods. As our customer, you provide the raw materials for us to produce your products. We can store your materials and finished product as our space allows. Scrap materials will be returned to you unless you agree to have us dispose of them.
How do I place an order?
To place an order with us, please complete our short inquiry form. Within 24 hours, we will reach out to chat about your business and how we can work together. Following our phone call, we will schedule a time for an in-person consultation at our WorkShop where we will walk through how to make your product.
How much will it cost?
Our mission is to provide fair wages to the people in our WorkShop. Our pricing is competitive and will vary based on the complexity and volume of the project. Please complete our inquiry form and we will work with you to develop an accurate quote.
Is there a minimum or maximum order size?
We have a strong preference for longterm, ongoing projects. We rarely take on one-off projects as they’re generally not inline with with our production schedule and priorities.
How long will it take MHW to make my product?
We strive to ensure that all products are made to the customers specifications. As such, production times vary. Generally, the on-boarding and sampling process takes 2-3 weeks. After the samples are approved, we will be better positioned to estimate completed production time for your order.
How do I get my product?
We will notify you as soon as your order is complete. Upon receipt of your full payment, you can collect your order from our WorkShop or we can ship the final product directly to you for the cost of shipping or courier.
Can MHW ship directly to my customer?
We have experience providing direct-to-customer shipping for some of our customers. We can assist with B2B or B2C shipping or both.
Can I share the Mile High Workshop story?
We would love if our partners shared our story, but you are not required to do so. Many customers find that it is a value-add for their brand to share the social mission of MHW. We can provide you with partner branding materials we have developed.
When do I pay?
Payment is required at or before receipt and approval of quality of goods.
